Available to current trainee solicitors, pupil barristers and ‘devils’.
- Free membership for a maximum of 2 years, or until date of qualification

Undergraduate students
Undergraduate students in education at UK universities or higher education institutions (at SCL’s discretion)

Please note:
- Membership of SCL is pursuant and subject to its Articles of Association https://www.scl.org/files/download/1560-2013_SCL_articles.pdf
- Use of this website is subject to the Website Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy
- SCL is a body approved in the UK by HMRC and the annual subscription is an allowable deduction from earnings from employment for tax purposes.
- All membership fees are stated exclusive of Value Added Tax.
- SCL membership is on an individual basis only and is non-transferable. SCL may add, remove or vary any category of membership or the benefits of being a member from time to time.
- Your SCL login details are for your personal use only.
- Your membership will continue as per our Articles of Association https://www.scl.org/files/download/1560-2013_SCL_articles.pdf
- We will send invoices and reminders for future membership fees on or around the relevant anniversary of your joining date.
- Concessionary members will receive invoices on a six monthly basis.
- If you don’t pay the invoice your membership will be cancelled. We may allow a grace period before cancelling your membership, but this is at our discretion.
- If you receive an invoice but wish to cancel your membership instead, please contact us as soon as possible. If you don’t want to renew please let us know at hello@scl.org
- Free membership will only continue whilst you continue to meet the eligibility requirement of that membership.
- You must let us know if you cease to meet the eligibility requirements for your membership.
