Booking Terms & Conditions

Book an SCL event
If you wish to attend an event please book online or email hello@scl.org (or T2@scl.org to book to attend modules in the Tech Law Essentials Programme – T2) and request an invoice. Fees can be paid by credit card or bank transfer. All invoices for attendance at SCL events must be paid within 30 days of the invoice date unless otherwise stated in the event terms and conditions.

Confirmation of your booking
Your booking will be confirmed automatically if you have paid online or by receipt of an invoice and/or email if you have booked via the SCL office. You will also receive joining details prior to the event. Unless an event has sold out, emails advertising SCL events are sent to our membership up to the date of the event, the final email is often entitled “last chance to book”. Please note that receipt of further marketing emails about the event you are already booked to attend does not mean that you no longer have a place.

Paying your invoice
Can you pay online or email hello@scl.org and request an invoice which will contain a payment link. We do not accept payments over the phone.

Terms and Conditions
Application online or by email constitutes a firm booking and an undertaking to pay the event attendance fee. Cancellations for in-person events will not be accepted (and refunds made) unless received and acknowledged by SCL HQ at least one week before the date of the relevant event. The cancellation of a booking for a conference may also incur an administration fee. Please see the relevent event page for more details. Where an in-person event is also recorded, and that recording is made available to all those booked to attend the event, cancellations may not be accepted. Please see the relevent event page for more details. All webinars are recorded and therefore cancellations will not be accepted.

Substitute delegates
If you are unable to attend, a substitute may attend in your place provided that you notify the SCL office in advance (hello@scl.org and pay the appropriate registration fee).

It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of SCL to change the venue, content or timing of an event or to substitute speakers. The safety and wellbeing of our delegates is paramount and therefore in-person events may be converted to online events due to government restrictions or travel disruption.
